New website - We are Children in Lui

Our partners Diocese of Lund created a marvellous website to enable children in Lund to learn about the lives of children in Lui.

They very generously offered to share this work and to host a similar website in English for their partners.  The translation work was done by Lui-traveller Elsa Foisack with a little bit of help from her English friends in Blackmore Vale, whilst Marcel Salinder of the Diocesan staff did a lot of technical work.

So the ‘We are Children in Lui’ website is now live!  We are so grateful to Elsa and all the other creators of the Swedish material, to Marcel, Marie Korner and everyone else in Lund for this  lovely resource.

Anyone who's been to Lui will want to see the material, videos and photos on the website, but we are hoping you may use it with your children's groups.  In the UK we have many church schools and there's a lot of enthusiasm in Salisbury Diocese schools about using this material, not just with our Lui link but with our Diocese''s wider Sudan/S Sudan links.

What a wonderful resource, and not only for us in the church! I sent the link to my daughter-in-law, who teaches at an independent school in New York. The tie-ins to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child are, well, sprinkles on the icing on the cake. Thank you, Elsa, Marcel, Marie, Anne, Lund, and Blackmore Vale for sharing creating, translating, uploading, and sharing these stories.
