Sorry Cheryl seemed a good title. Yesterday at about 6:30 pm the last piece of the metal sheeting went on the roof. The guys will finish some caps and ridge line over the next two days. We have left money for their meals and water for two more days. The round end was difficult with all the angles. Rick danced in circles while the men clapped out a beat. Catching a plane in a couple of hours for the journey home.

When the metal sheets are cut to fit the round roof sparks would fly. Sometimes it was like fitting a puzzle.  A suggestion was made that the workers did not have safety goggles on. So Issac was asked to go to the market to purchase safety goggles. He came back with white sun glasses( the best they had) and the men loved them.

More pictures to come.

I wish I could have been there to dance with him.  Great job guys!  And the glasses are so cool!  I hope somebody sends us a picture of the totally finished roof and the first group of folks that come in there to pray.

Dan, I love the title!  No apologies needed! I am humbled and amazed at the same time...and I LOVE the board with the names of all those who worked on this endeavor!  As far as Rick is concerned, any/all of you, in or around St. Louis in early October, will be more than welcome to come celebrate ALL of this at my home in Wildwood. Then we can ALL be dancing!  Date to be determined...after everyone is over jet-lag and lives have returned to some sort of normalcy once again!  God Bless...be safe coming home.

Wonderful!  I wonder if those are safety glasses?  Or sunglasses to serve that purpose? All of you have done an amazing job.

Wow and wow. So you must tell us the story about the sunglasses!
