Gifts for the New Bishop

One of the things I remember best from the crazy months after Wayne was elected Bishop of Missouri and before his ordination and our move to St. Louis is the kindness and generosity of the people in the Dioceses of Missouri and Iowa in providing him with the many very expensive things bishops have to have. So I'm quite aware of the list of things Stephen needs and the difficulty of paying for it (or even finding it) in Sudan.

Election Saturday -- Prayers Requested

Both Stephen and Gordon have written to ask our prayers for the election of the new Bishop of Lui on Saturday in Juba. Please keep Stephen, Ramzy, and Yohanna in your prayers along with the people of the diocese. Bor is electing at the same meeting; quite a few people in our diocese may remember meeting retiring Bishop Nathaniel Garang of Bor -- please also keep Bor in your prayers.

Charity Vasco

Please pray for Vasco's wife Charity, who is still so ill with chest and stomach pain that Vasco plans to take her back to Juba for treatment.
